The artwork

In classical tradition, Morpheus belongs to the world of dreams and takes on human form within sleep. This artwork does not portray him as a recognisable deity. Its subject is the passage itself: the moment when a form stops belonging entirely to reality and begins to become something else.

Human figures are simplified and elongated until their anatomy dissolves into curved bands. Body, garment, movement and crescent moon are built from the same continuous structure. Deep blue, teal, aquamarine and lilac replace realistic shading, creating depth through colour.

In embroidery, those bands become legible textile surfaces. Variations in thread direction and colour build volume while preserving the sense of dissolution at the centre of the image.

A heavyweight unisex sweatshirt with a relaxed, generous silhouette. Its 350 gsm fabric gives the piece a structured presence while remaining comfortable enough to wear alone or over a lighter layer.
