The artwork
In Greek mythology, Eros is the personification of desire and attraction. The artwork begins with his most immediate symbols—the heart and the arrow—then changes their logic.
The heart is broken into irregular fragments and recomposed without returning to a smooth, perfect surface. Red, black, ivory and gold separate the pieces and expose the tensions between them. Two arrows cross the composition from opposing directions: they disrupt the heart and, at the same time, connect what forms it.
In embroidery, fragmentation becomes material. Changes in thread direction, colour and density keep each section distinct while allowing the whole figure to remain legible.
The garment
A lightweight long-sleeve shirt in 100% combed ring-spun cotton. At 145 gsm, it can be worn on its own or layered without being tied to a particular season. The clean construction and understated fit leave space for the compact embroidered artwork.
