The artwork
In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and beauty. The rose is among the symbols most deeply associated with her, linked not only to beauty but also, in versions of the myth of Adonis, to grief.
The artwork isolates that symbol and introduces a second form: the crescent moon. The moon does not illustrate the myth literally; it enters as a cyclical structure connected to change and return. The rose remains soft and organic while the moon is fragmented into sharper surfaces. The stem passes through the curve and binds both forms into one composition.
In embroidery, this contrast remains material: fluid botanical forms meet more pronounced fragments, as if two visual languages had been recomposed within the same textile image.

A lightweight long-sleeve shirt in 100% combed ring-spun cotton. At 145 gsm, it can be worn alone or layered across seasons. The simple, contemporary construction keeps the embroidered artwork as the focal point.
